‘Mummy Blogger’ Helen Farmer is an experienced editor, writer and host/co-host at Dubai Eye. Having worked in both the UK and the UAE, Helen has written articles on a variety of lifestyle topics. She is currently working as a freelance copywriter and editor in print and online with companies from American Express to Harper's Bazaar. Living in Dubai for nearly 10 years gave Helen inspiration to start The Mothership- the perfect blog for busy mums to look for great advice from one mum to another, personal perspectives and helpful tips.

She has designed for high profile retailers including Marks and Spencer, ASOS and H&M, and her designs are featured in various magazines such as Vogue, Elle, Instyle and Grazia. Her blog Style Sense shows she can be trusted at revamping wardrobes and helping individuals in finding clothes that are cost effective, wearable and personal but still have an edge.
Zahra Abdalla considers herself a modern day Bedouin; as a child she lived a very typical expat life and was blessed with the opportunity to live, experience and become a locale of different cities around the world. Food is her artistry, therapy and her love. Food has always been important in her life; scents, flavours, recipes and traditions offer nostalgic memories which is evident in her blog Cooking with Zahra. Now she has her own young family she is keen to create those same happy moments for her children. She also loves to travel, listen to World music, stay fit and collect art.
Elfty Mackenzie graduated from the prestigious Norland College in the UK, who provide private Nannies to Royalty and the global elite. She has over 25 years global experience with children ranging from 0-8 years as a private Nanny, Maternity Nurse and, more recently, as a Nursery Teacher in Dubai. Her particular area of expertise is with children from new born to nursery. Elfty has been in Dubai for 9 years and currently works at Repton School with nursery and reception aged children.
A senior member of the Urban Energy team, Fiona is a fitness instructor and a level 2 Precision Nutrition coach. A native of New Zealand, where living an active and healthy lifestyle is second nature, she has over 10 years experience of coaching clients in Dubai. Fiona is a mother of 2 teenagers and came back to work shortly after the birth of her 2nd child. She is a marathoner, has represented the UAE in women rugby and competed in white collar boxing. She conducts personal training sessions and fitness classes with Urban Energy and offers online nutrition coaching to UAE residents.
Candid, inspirational former Household Cavalry Officer Sam Instone is leading a revolution in international financial advice. From his company AES International’s offices in DIFC he’s enabling financial empowerment through education, bringing professional standards to the UAE, and speaking out about financial salespeople who prey on expats. Sam’s created a multi award winning global company, is a decorated veteran, has won more polo trophies than he can count and used to live with James Blunt when guarding the queen! However, he says his biggest achievement was marrying the girl of his dreams and becoming a father three times over.
Matt Mee has over twenty years’ experience working as an HR professional and is currently working as the Managing Director for CIPD the professional body of HR and people development, working with GCC governments, partners and organisations to ‘improve HR Professional Standards’. Having previously worked for companies such as Jumeriah Hotel Group, IBM and Lumesse, he is truly an expert in this field.
Fruzsina Bényei-Anirudhan is Principal of Safari Kids Nursery in Dubai, UAE. Fruzsina is a double MA degree holder in Education and American Studies from Eötvös Loránd University of Sciences Budapest, the oldest and most prestigious university of Hungary founded in 1635. In the last fourteen years she has worked as an educator, curriculum developer, head teacher, and principal in various educational settings from preschools to adult education, though her true passion lies in Early Childhood with over 10 years of experience in the field. Her dedication to nurturing young minds has taken her from her home country Hungary among many other places to Hong Kong and finally seven years ago to Dubai.
