A Parents’ guide to Emotional Intelligence - How to Raise a Child with a High EQ

Jenny Loomes, CEO of EQ4Kids Dubai, Certified Life Coach and NLP Practitioner as well as an Emotional Intelligence Practitioner is here to host an exclusive Mums@Work workshop, giving us tangible tips and tools on how we can help raise emotionally intelligent children.

Jenny will be sharing a mini EQ toolkit for Mum’s covering the following topics:

• What is EQ: How will it help you be a winning parent
• Enhancing Emotional literacy: having a strong emotional vocabulary creates a sense of insight and mastery.
• Teaching children a growth mindset: When kids know their brains are capable of growing, amazing things can happen

The session promises to be interactive, and fun. As parents, we don’t have all the answers, but you will walk away from this session with solid guidelines and some good tools to leverage as a mum to raise your children to be smarter about their feelings.

Come be inspired: ”Behind every young child who believes in himself, is a parent who believed first.” Mathew Jacobson

What is the role of Emotional Intelligence in success?

In many instances, our schools have become exam factories where the focus, attention, and resources are fully behind standardized testing, but if all the research around the importance of Emotional Intelligence is true, EQ outweighs IQ 4 to 1 when it comes to the requirements for achieving success in life.
This means we as Mum’s have a much bigger role to play in ensuring that we raise emotionally intelligent Children
