S.H.E. Strategy (Seen, Heard, Empowered) - Core skills for life
Are you torn between your role as carer vs your career? Do you feel that things aren’t quite the way you want them to be – but don’t know how to clarify what you really (really) want, and what you need to make it happen? Do you ever wonder what taking time off for your wonderful family really costs you?
Then this is the workshop for you!
This workshop takes you through the reality of what happens when women stop earning, their chances of getting back on their game, and what it really costs them.
To work or not, to part-time or not, these are huge decisions women make - for a variety of reasons. They are done with the interest of their families at heart - but are taken without these women, and their families, being aware of the true consequences. Most significantly, the lifelong cost to finances and career.
Nima has created a poll to get you thinking about these issues, and more - Click here to fill it in. It will take you a few minutes, but the results can affect you for life.
Join us to find out:
• why women: Nima takes us through her reasons for her focus on females.
• True cost: No one is talking about the real, life-long cost of decisions made by women every day, in the interest of their families.
• Why the S.H.E.Strategy was invented, what it’s all about, and how it can help you gain clarity around your current needs and wants, but more importantly, what you can do about it.
About the speaker:
Nima Abu-Wardeh is an award winning broadcast journalist and thought leader. Nima's main focus is to enable women to make the right decisions for their financial lives by being acutely aware of the true consequence of taking time off work, not going for a promotion, or upskilling in their career.
A keen advocate of people inventing and creating their best life, so they can 'lean-in-between' - her message to women is: Lean in to your earning potential.
Nima is also an advocate of informed choice. Meaning, decisions being made with the knowledge of their consequence. Why women? Because Nima has seen far too many miss out on opportunities, and wants to enable them to showcase their brilliance and live as they see fit. And no where does she see the facts she talks about being discussed.
Nima has had a varied career - including fronting BBC World's Middle East Business Report which saw her cover Iran to Morocco before, during and after the Arab uprisings. She is a thought leader, trains the C-suite and top executives, chairs and moderates events with global organisations and the corporate world, as well as coaching women who want more out of work or life.
The session includes Q&A.
