The role will be involved in a program to improve clients’ authorization approval rates and drive usage and spend on cards. This initiative is a key global activity and has direct financial benefit both to the clients and to Visa whilst also increasing cardholder satisfaction and brand loyalty.
The authorization improvement activity is both tactical (individual client projects and engagements) and strategic (looking a market moving opportunities from products to rules). Both require cross-functional working with CSS, Product, Risk, Consulting, Analytics, Business Development and Merchant Sales & Solutions
After gaining an understanding of the authorization process and drivers for approvals and declines, this role will support the Senior Director to extend the reach of the program and improve effectiveness. This will necessitate working with a number of other functions across Visa’s CEMEA region.
The role will be involved in providing compelling cases for change that our Visa team can take to clients to persuade them to act, through to understanding the impact of changes made and sharing successes/case studies.
This role will provide an opportunity to:
- Develop an understanding of Visa’s core systems and services and how they are used by their clients including new digital services
- Develop an appreciation of the challenges clients face and how they vary (or don’t) across geographies
- Increase communication experience – presenting simple and compelling reasons for clients to change e.g. client event presentations to production of business cases
- Increase analytical experience
The success of this project is measureable by the actions taken by their client to deliver quantifiable improvement in their authorisation performance through the development and presentation of rational arguments and supporting analytics.
