Purpose of role
The role holder will provide high level administrative assistance to a number of Senior Managers (including Chairman, Market Management, Business Management and Bankers) in their daily activities; support/assist where and when required other members of the team ensuring adherence to global client standards
The role holder will handle all complex travel arrangements, apply for and monitor business visas, book hotels, flights, vehicle transportations at location, prepare and submit all travel and entertainment expenses and expense reports for Senior Management. They will also manage their diaries, co-ordinate various meetings including facilities, agenda, participants, take and distribute minutes of various meetings held. The role holder is also responsible to book accommodation and arrange visit visas for staff visiting Dubai from other Barclay’s offices. When required, the role holder will also provide assistance in organising office events; provide cover for other Personal Assistants when they are out of the office and any ad hoc administrative assistant duties.
The role holder must meet governance, risk management, controls and compliance requirements at all times.

International Banking and Financial Services
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as a Personal Assistant in a multicultural environment, preferably in a banking industry, with excellent PC skills (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Academic and professional qualifications
The ideal candidate will be a graduate in any discipline with a proven track record in a similar role.
The ideal candidate will have commendable proficiency in spoken as well as written English.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent listening and communicating skills, interpersonal and organisation skills and multi-tasking abilities and be courteous but firm. They will be both independent and a team player, flexible and enthusiastic, able to work under pressure, be discreet, trustworthy and handle problems and conflicts effectively and diplomatically. The ideal candidate will also be intuitive and proactive.
