Mums@Work launch the regions first flexible ‘Return to Work’ Program for women to resume careers
We are very excited to announce the Mums@Work ‘Return to Work’ Program - the first of its kind for the region. The program offers flexible return to work opportunities with companies who believe in the talent of women that have taken a career break and are dedicated to support their journey back to the workplace. The 12-week program is open to all women who have taken a two-year or longer break and will be open for applications from July 2017.
The initial phase of the program will see the Mums@Work team connect candidates to leading global business firms including IBM, APCO Worldwide, Virgin and Visa. The ‘returnship’ offers women a flexible way to gain one-on-one mentorship, customised training on-the-job and numerous networking opportunities to elevate their profile within the UAE business community.
Louise Karim, Managing Director, Mums@Work, said: “Our decision to launch this initiative is driven by the number of talented women we have met struggling to return to the workplace after taking a break. These women have tremendous expertise to offer businesses in the region, but lack the platform to showcase it. The program, which also allows for part-time and flexible roles, provides them the perfect opportunity for professional growth whilst balancing family life.” It's just what the market needs - a practical way of getting back to the workplace.
“We have seen a great response from companies in the region who are as committed to bringing women back to work. We are extremely pleased to associate with progressive businesses who are open to providing the flexibility to balance one’s professional and family life.
The Return to Work Program will be open for applications from July 2017, with the selected candidates undertaking coaching and pre-interview preparation with our career coach ahead of the interview process in September. The roles for the launch program are featured on our dedicated Return to Work Job Board and open for applications until early September.
